GeoBee Challenge app for iPhone and iPad
This is a challenging game, so its not for beginners...but do keep in mind that the National Geographic GeoBee is meant for kids in grades 4-8. Are you smarter than a 4th grader? If you need help studying, you should check out the National Geographic World Atlas HD app, also available on iTunes.
Three types of game play make sure you really know your stuff and never get bored.
In the multiple-choice round, answers come from a library of more than 1300 National Geographic GeoBee questions. In the map challenge round, you zoom, pinch and tap your way to find spots on an interactive map from a catalog of 1000+ locations. For an added challenge, bonus rounds include compelling National Geographic photographs where you have to locate whats in the photo on the interactive map...only we dont tell you where the photo was taken or what is in the picture!
The faster you answer, the more points you get! You have to keep up the pace to move on to the next round.

Gotta admit, Im not a kid, but my geography definitely needs some work! This game is fun & educational for both kids & adults alike! Grab it while its free!! :)
My husband and I love this game. We cant believe this is for grades 4-8 as we find it challenging. Its definitely great for learning geography!

Its so much fun! I just wish they would add more questions and bonus round photos. If you could keep updating, I would probably never stop playing!
I really love this app, however it freezes after the first question in the second round... I wish that would be fixed, if it was fixed, this app would be the perfect tool for studying or learning geography. I love it, great job Nat Geo!!!
Some bad moments
They have acknowledged bugs in level two. 1.5 months later -- no fix. when it is fixed I will change my rating appropriately.
There is a bug that you cant do the second question in the second round. This game if fun so far...please fix the bug because the app is $2.00 and I want a working app for two dollars!
Like almost half of my fellow consumer, I am very dissatisfied with this app, and how round two freezes. Any other possible purchasers should not even consider purchasing this app.
Game will not continue in to 2nd round. Hopefully I did not just throw away money. Seems like a great concept for a learning game.
First round works fine, when get to second round it freezes at first question. Please fix!
I bought this for my son who is in the fourth grade to prepare for the Geo Bee. Unfortunately the program crashes every time after answering the first question of the second round. Please fix this problem. The app is essentially useless because of this problem.
